Motorcyclists suffer ‘life-changing injuries’ after colliding with tractor on Peak District road

Two motorcyclists remain in hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a tractor on a Peak District road.

The crash happened on the the B6049 between the A6187 Hope Road junction in Bradwell and the A623 junction in Tideswell at about 2.30pm on Sunday..

The motorcyclists were taken to the Northern General Hospital with what police have described as “life-changing” injuries.

Police said one of the men, from Killamarsh, suffered a fractured spine and a fractured leg.

The other motorcyclist, of Sheffield, sustained broken ribs.

The road was closed for several hours.
