Mineshaft appears in Peak District road
A collapsed mineshaft has opened up on a Peak District Road.
The hole has appeared on the B6061, near Sparrowpit, and Derbyshire County Council will be closing the road temporarily while work is carried out to fix it.
The road will be closed from the junction with the A623 to a point adjacent to Rowter Farm until December 15.
Access will be maintained whenever possible and suggested alternative routes are the B6061, Rushup Edge, Sheffield Road, A6 and A623.
