Man rescued after car became stuck in snow in Pilsbury
A 68-year-old man was helped by Buxton Mountain Rescue Team when his Land Rover became stuck in snow at Pilsbury, near Hartington on Friday.
The on-going winter conditions continued to cause chaos on minor roads when five inches of snow fell overnight in the Peak District.
The 4 x 4 had become trapped in the snow and the man spent the next two hours sheltering in a barn.
The team responded with just two members in a Land Rover and managed to collect the gentleman and take him safely home.
