Man charged in connection with theft after being stopped by police in Hayfield
At around 6am on Monday, May 16, officers stopped a vehicle along Church Street, Hayfield as part of a policing operation to target vehicle crime in the community.
Following a search of the car, a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft after they were found with a computer tablet and a drill that were believed to have been stolen from a nearby vehicle.

Hide AdAllan Wood, of Tintagel Walk, Hyde was charged with theft, handling stolen goods and driving without third party insurance.
He was bailed from the North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 17 and is due to be sentenced at a later date.
