Man arrested after dramatic Derbyshire police pursuit
A man has been arrested following a police pursuit.

At about 1.40pm on Sunday, police were called to reports that a car had been stolen from Lathkill Grove, Tibshelf.
Officers, supported by the police helicopter, travelled to the area and found the car being driven along the A38 toward Derby.
The car collided with a police vehicle on the A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road, near to the Pektron island, at about 2.15pm.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

He was taken to hospital for a check-up – as were the two police officers involved in the collision.
The man, from Derby, remains in custody and is being questioned.
