Chesterfield entrepreneur James Hill has progressed to the sixth week of The Apprentice – despite yet again coming under fire from Lord Alan Sugar.

Last night’s show saw contestants create their very own coach tours, persuading punters to part with their cash and take day trips to top tourist attractions outside London.

James’s team, Summit, lost after making the less profit with a lacklustre tour of Hever Castle in Kent and a visit to Canterbury.

Lord Sugar’s assistant Karren Brady said James was to blame for “the coach trip from hell” after singing Wheels On The Bus to a bunch of history buffs.

Multi-millionaire Lord Sugar, who is searching for his next business partner, told the 26-year-old: “You need to clean your act up and stop being a clown.”

Last week, Lord Sugar branded James a “grade A pillock”.

Despite the insults, James – who owns Havana Whites in Chesterfield – was praised on the social networking site Twitter.

One user said: “James is the boy and he’s going to win The Apprentice!”

James narrowly escaped the chop. Instead, entertainment agency owner Jemma Bird, who clashed with James, was fired.

There are now 11 candidates vying to become Lord Sugar’s business partner.

In next week’s show, the contestants will be tasked with making a new board game.
