LETTER: Rotary fundraising thanks all round
Rotary Club of Buxton wish to thank the Buxton Advertiser for Lucy Ball's advance feature regarding our 50:50 Charity Swimathon. '¨The March 11 event was a great fundraising success. Five teams (Bathing Beauties from Cut & Curl, Buxton Barracudas, The Sheldon Sharks, Dolphins and Jack Maney's) had a good swim and enjoyed themselves. They raised: £1,500 plus for Neema School Trust, Kenya; £200 plus for Bowel & Cancer Research UK; and £50 plus for Class Room in the Clouds, Nepal.
We would also like to thank everyone who sponsored the teams and Otter Controls, Overdale Veterinary Practice, and Buxton Swimming Pool & Leisure Centre for their kind donations and help on the day.
