LETTER: Common sense needs to prevail on housing development

How appalling that Adele Snook, strategic land and planning director at Persimmon homes, should choose to ignore the justifiable and well expressed concerns of local residents, and simply comment that the company “has confidence in this location and knows it will sell well.”

We are all aware that this development will make money for Persimmon, but at what cost to the local environment?

I believe her comments confirm this is of no concern whatsoever to the company, and this is a commercial exercise.

I hope local planners are noting this, and common sense will prevail.
