On this occasion, regular stall holders selling fresh farm produce will be joined by local organisations and businesses that include social enterprise Pulp Friction Smoothie Bar Project, with a craft stall and smoothie bike, who provide volunteering opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities.

Also, the first week in October is Guide Dog Week, marking the day when the first guided dogs started work on October 6 1031.

There will also be the branded Guide Dog gifts stall and a game to commemorate the occasion and raise money for the guide dogs for the blind.

Finally, it is a birthday, so there will be some good old fashioned party games, including a Treasure Trail for children and families, plus a birthday cake.

Formerly based on Toll Bar Square, Kimberley Farmers Market recently moved to Greens Lane Shopping Precinct in order to give it a boost and help it to develop.

Since then market operator Stall-it has been working with the local authority and local businesses to help develop the market into a vibrant monthly attraction.
