Hope Valley residents get advice against thieves

Safer Neighbourhood officers have warned Hope Valley residents protect their property against criminals.

PC Graham Mason and PCSO Steven Rogers have invited residents to get tips and advice at upcoming surgeries and events across the valley.

The team will be hosting events across Edale, Castleton, Hope and Bamford, to chat to people about any concerns that they may have, along with offering crime prevention advice on a range of topics.

Officers will be visiting Edale main car park between 10am and 12pm, and Castleton main car park between 12:30pm and 2:30pm on Tuesday, January 6.

On Wednesday, January 14, the team will be attending Bamford Anglers Car Park between 10am and 12pm, before heading to Hope main car park between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.

PC Graham Mason from the Hope Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Events like this are a great opportunity for us to head out into the community and chat to residents about the steps that they can take to extra protect themselves from would-be-thieves.”
