Hollinsclough teenager crowned top Russian speaker
Hollinsclough teenager Niall Grimbaldeston-Cherry has been crowned the world’s top Russian vocabulary reciter in the 2014 Vocab Express Global Challenge.
The 14-year-old Manchester Grammar School pupil scooped first prize in Russian after taking part in the six-day online competition.
He said: “I am thrilled with this win and to have put my Russian studies to great use.
“It was a great team effort, with my fellow classmates supporting me throughout.”
