High Peak students learn how Government works
School children got to grill an MP as part of their studies into politics.
The school council from New Mills Primary School visited the People’s History Museum, in Manchester, for a day organised by the Parliamentary Service to coincide with UK Parliamentary Week.
The children had a question and answer session with Lucy Powell, the Labour MP for Manchester Central, followed by a presentation from a member of the Parliamentary Education Service about the Houses of Parliament.
