High Peak festive puddings help tackle illness

High Peak diners have been indulging their sweet tooth while helping charity by purchasing special Christmas puddings.

The Rotary Club of Buxton has given thanks to everyone who bought a pudding through the 2016 Christmas Pudding Appeal in aid of Meningitis Now.

Fourteen dozen were purchased and there are several puddings ‘spare’. If you would like to buy one for £10, call 01298 23715.

Special thanks was also given to Sally Liddle, for helping promote the Christmas Pudding Appeal on High Peak Radio. Sally’s son, Vincent, contracted meningitis at three months but made a full recovery, however many babies don’t.
