Help us celebrate Derbyshire's best
Each week we put the spotlight on a few of the categories to give you an idea of what we are looking for.
This week is the turn of Best Sports Team, Best Secondary Teaching Assistant and Best Breakfast or After School Club.

The Best Sports Team award recognises the district’s budding athletes, who display true sporting grit, team effort and sportsmanship.
Last year’s winners, the Tupton Hall Year 7 Girls Football Team, were crowned FA Youth Futsal National Champions as well as FA Derbyshire and Regional champions and Football league northern finalists.
The Best Secondary Teaching Assistant award is for the hardworking people that make teacher’s lives easier by providing invaluable support.
Last year it was won by Ann Foxley-Johnstone of Springwell Community College who the judges praised for her wonderful, uplifting attitude to life and the fabulous relationships she fosters with staff and students alike.

The Best Breakfast or After School Club award is for a club that makes a positive impact on the children who attend and their parents.

Last years winner was Brian Evans of Springwell Community College who runs 13 clubs which attract around 200 pupils a week and range across dance, music, drama, film, football and computer gaming.
