Have your say on South West Peak

The South West Peak’s unique and special features are under threat and at risk of being lost forever and is seeking Heritage Lottery Fund money.

A partnership, which involves the Peak District National Park Authority, the RSPB, Staffordshire and Derbyshire Wildlife Trusts, is keen to start tackling some of the issues.

It wants to hear the views and ideas of people who live, work and visit the area, which includes all of the Staffordshire Moorlands within the Peak District National Park as well as Macclesfield Forest, Lyme Park and the Goyt Valley.

If you can sum up in five words what the South West Peak means to you, the partnership would love to share those words on their web site southwestpeak.co.uk.

They would also love to hear project ideas and invite members of the public to join a community panel to get more involved. Jill Norman, of Support Staffordshire, said: “This is the very start of the process to submit an application to the Heritage

Lottery Fund. We want to hear from as many people as possible.”
