Former Glossop Grammar School pupil Stuart Hall has been cleared of raping two girls but convicted of two counts of indecent assault.

The 84-year-old was found not guilty of 15 charges of rape and four counts of indecent assault on girls from the age of 12 between 1976 and 1981 by a jury at Preston Crown Court on Friday.

The ex-BBC broadcaster, of Wilmslow, will be sentenced on May 23.
