Glossop man fined for obscuring his windscreen

A Glossop man has been fined for driving with a “For sale” sign covering his windscreen, a court heard.

Andrew Clare, 34, of Cottage Lane, was sentenced in his absence at High Peak Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Buxton, last Wednesday.

He was found guilty of driving his Land Rover on the A6 Fairfield, in Buxton, on December 15th, when he was not in a position to have a full view.

Clare was ordered to pay a £400 fine, £85 court costs and a £40 victim surcharge.
