Four decades of musical magic

Chapel-en-le-Frith Ladies Choir were joined by a number of special guests at their ruby anniversary concert held recently.

The event, at Chapel Methodist Church, featured four special guests who have played a part in the choir’s 40-year history.

As well as singing favourite pieces from different eras and continents, the choir also performed two special compositions, created by composer and conductor Dorian Kelly, specifically to mark the anniversary.

The choir will be performing with Tideswell Male Voice Choir at St John the Baptist Church, Tideswell, on June 27 and raising money for the Daniel’s Light charity at Whaley Bridge Uniting Church on July 26.
