Five laptops stolen from former pub in Buxton

Derbyshire Police are appealing for witnesses after five laptops and a selection of other items were stolen from a former pub.

Burglars smashed a window to get into the George Hotel, in George Street, Buxton, which is now converted to offices.

They searched the building and stole five HP Probook laptops, a Nokia Windows phone, a Garmin Edge 1000 bicycle GPS device and a Canon Ixus 2 digital camera.

A leather pencil case containing a Mont Blanc ink pen, a silver Parker pen with a gold and silver nib, and a Waterman fountain pen with a mottled green/camouflage pattern was also stolen and all three pens are distinctive.

Police are appealing for information on the break-in, which happened between 5pm on November 4, and 6.50am on November 7.

They want to hear from anyone who might have been offered any of the items for sale since the burglary.
