A fire which broke out in a disused building in New Mills had to be extinguished by firefighters.

Yesterday, Wednesday, July 18 at 9.52pm crews from New Mills and Whaley Bridge battled the blaze on High Hill Road.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish a fire which had started in a disused building on High Hill Road, New Mills.”
