Far from a calamitous performance from talented pupils
In an ambitious feat of musical theatre, nearly 100 cast and crew at Chapel-en-le-Frith reproduced the sights and sounds of the Wild West for their latest production - Calamity Jane.
The show was staged over three thrilling nights of high quality acting, song and dance, under the direction of Steph Godfrey, Jayne Marling, Andrea Wright and Sarah Ledbury.
The principal roles were acted by Matthew Hibbert, Ethan Padden, Charly Evans, Sol Hutchins, Hannah Lomas, Laurie Oliver and Sara Fogarty Olmos. Zoe Eastwood was said to have ‘simply excelled’ in the lead role of Calamity Jane.
