Family fun at Buxton's Pump Room
The Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust hosted the free family events throughout the summer, thanks to support from the Bingham Trust, with the latest taking place last week.
Liz Mackenzie, engagement and events manager for the trust, said: “There is a whole generation, the town’s youngest generation, which has never been inside The Crescent or the Pump Room and has no memories of how important this building is in the town’s history.

Over the course of the six open days more than 500 children have taken part in activities which involved Lego, colouring and dressing-up.
Liz said: “We have been very lucky and had specially-commissioned Lego pieces in Crescent colours and with the arches.
“The children have used these pieces to create some incredible buildings of their own inspired by Buxton’s fine architecture.
“It has proved such a success we will definitely bring it back for future open days.”
