Snow showers are expected to affect most areas across Derbyshire this morning, particularly for hilly areas in the north.

Showers and overnight frosts also bring the risk of icy stretches forming on untreated surfaces. Strong winds will accentuate the cold feel at times although it is likely to prevent any extremely low overnight minimum temperatures.

Showers of sleet, snow and hail will continue through today, although in many places only rain and light sleet are expected.

The temperature is forecast for highs of four degrees Celsius, feeling like minus one – wrap up warm.
