Derbyshire weather: Met Office Warning

The Met Office has issued a warning that there is an 80 per cent chance of severe cold weather, icy conditions and heavy snow from today.

People are being warned to expect travel disruption from this evening (Wednesday, January 28) and during tomorrow due to snow.

Up to four inches of snow is now expected to fall in Derbyshire.

The Met Office has also extended the area covered by the snow warning to the south of the Pennines.Gale force winds could create blizzard conditions in places.
