Derbyshire fires – ROUND-UP

Firefighters tackled a chimney fire in Bradwell.

Crews were called to Main Road at about 10.15pm last night.

The incident involved a log burner which was “well alight”.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze.

At the same time, firefighters from Belper battled a bin fire on Brookside in the town.

Police were also in attendance as the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

At about 4.05 pm yesterday, firefighters from Chapel-en-le-Frith and Whaly Bridge dealt with a fire in the loft of a commercial property in Market Street, Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Crews used jets to extinguish the blaze.
