Two people arrested and cannabis found during police raids in Buxton and Peak Dale

Police have arrested two people and seized cannabis after searches at properties in Buxton and Peak Dale.

Buxton Police Safer Neighbourhood Team carried out a search at a property in Peak Dale, and another at a property in Buxton town centre on Wednesday.

Cannabis was seized and a male and female were arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis.

The team said: “A combination of intelligence gained by our PCSO’S sheer vigilance, alongside hard joint team work from our Buxton & Hope Valley SNT.

“Our Local Policing Unit were also involved, in the seizing of a numerous amount of cannabis plants destined for the streets.

“Many thanks to members of the public providing this invaluable information that has put the two under the spot light.”
