Cyclist seriously injured following Buxton hit-and-run

A cyclist has been seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash in Buxton.

Derbyshire Police said the collision took place on Station Road, close to the junction with Palace Road, at about 11.50am on Thursday, 10 September.

They want to speak to the driver of a white Toyota Aygo, which is believed to have collided with the cyclist. The cyclist was left with a broken hip and remained in hospital on Tuesday (15 September) – five days after the crash. Police have also asked motorists to check their dashcam footage, if they were driving through Buxton at the time of the incident, and travelled along Fairfield Road, Bridge Street, Station Road and St John’s Road.Witnesses or anyone with information should contact PC Simon Clarke via Facebook, Twitter or the Derbyshire Constabulary website, quoting reference 20000474686.
