Covid fines issued to Greater Manchester residents who travelled for overnight stay in Chapel-en-le-Frith

Four young adults from Greater Manchester have been handed fines after they travelled to Chapel-en-le-Frith during lockdown.

An officer from the Buxton Safer Neighbourhood Team issued the fines on Wednesday night as the individuals were found to be in breach of Covid-19 laws.

The four young adults were said to have travelled to the Chapel area to stay over for a night when there was no exceptional reason for them doing so.

They were given tickets and told to head back to their local area.
