CCTV images released after robbery at New Mills shop

Police investigating a robbery at a New Mills shop have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

The incident occurred at around 2.30pm yesterday (Tuesday) when a man was reported to have entered the Go Local Extra store on Albion Road.

He threatened staff and demanded money before making off with an amount of cash in the direction of Swizzels and Torr Vale Mill.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw the incident, or anything suspicious, to get in touch.

Officers are also looking to trace the person pictured in the images as he may be able to help with their investigation
