Car travelling from London crashes and lands on roof in High Peak

A car, which travelled from London with two other cars, has crashed and landed on its roof in High Peak on Monday evening hours before the announcement of a third national lockdown.

Derbyshire Constabulary’s Safer Neighbourhood Policing for Buxton said the cars – with 11 people inside – were all travelling from Harrow, London.

According to a Facebook post, Buxton SNT said: “Last night a group of 11 came up from Harrow, London in three cars. One crashed.

"One car seized due to driver not being insured and was sent home on the train. All 11 will now be getting a fixed penalty notice of £200”.

Derbyshire police have been contacted for more details on the crash.
