County boundary trek to support charities
Derbyshire’s High Sheriff is hot-footing it around the county to raise money for two charities.
Over 15 days throughout August and September, David Coleman is walking around the county boundary, covering a distance of nearly 250 miles.
The walk aims to raise money for the High Sheriff’s Fund, which provides support to organisations engaging young people to divert them from crime; and the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Mr Coleman is being accompanied on each stage by rescue team members. Recently it was the turn of the Buxton and Kinder teams.
