Councillor’s donation is final amount needed for defibrillator

After months of fundraising, pupils at a Buxton school now have enough money to purchase a life-saving defibrillator.

The final funding needed for the equipment, at Fairfield Endowed Junior School, came from local councillor and school governor Caitlin Bisknell, who has donated £1,000 to the fund.

The school’s parent teacher association, The Friends of Fairfield, have worked tirelessly to raise money for the fund, hosting discos, Easter egg decorating competitions and fayres, amongst other events.
