Comic convention returns to Buxton

Unicon will be enthralling sci-fans and comic lovers on Sunday, November 20.

Organiser Steven Howard said: “Our debut event took place in May and was so well received that we simply had to do it again. We are hoping this forthcoming event will appeal to even more people and put Buxton and The Devonshire Dome on the Comic Con map.”

Visitors will be treated to displays from at least six Daleks, racing car Lightening McQueen, and a photo opportunity with the new film from the Harry Potter franchise Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

There will be plenty of photo opportunities with costumers/cosplayers including Captain Jack Sparrow, Batman, Captain America, Iron Man, and of course Ghostbusters.

For those who like to dress for the occasion there will a cosplay competition and for Pokemon Go fans there will be 4 Pokestops all day so there will be lots of Pokemon to catch.

Steven added: “It’s always hard to produce a sequel but I think with a few surprises in store, hopefully we have something for everyone.”

There will be TV and movie stars giving talks and signings throughout the day and some of the famous faces include those from Game of Thrones and Dr Strange.

General Admission is from 11am to 4pm with an early bird option at 10am and all under 5’s are free.
