Chesterfield beauty spot reopens after crime fears

Last month, Chesterfield Borough Council revealed it had shut the Garden of Fragrance on Rose Hill, near the town hall, after it apparently became a hotspot for yobbish behaviour and drug abuse.
Sergeant Dave Nicholls, the man in charge of the team which polices the town centre, met with the council to discuss the issue and the attraction is now open to members of the public again.

Sgt Nicholls said: "It's important that members of the public are able to use all the facilities available in the town centre and I will do all I can to ensure this area remains open."
