Charity’s alert over silent killer hiding in schools and houses
Asbestos is a silent killer which lurks in old schools, houses and factories.
It can lie hidden in vinyl tiles, Artexed ceilings, fuse boxes and cold water tanks - but when exposed it unleashes lethal fibres which can trigger the asbestos cancer mesothelioma, lung cancer and other diseases.
