Celebration to mark Chapel-en-le-Frith hospice’s 25th year

A High Peak hospice is hosting a sparkling evening of excitement and entertainment to mark its 25th anniversary.

Blythe House - which cares for people affected by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, as well as supporting those who are bereaved - is hosting the silver anniversary event at the Pavilion Arts Centre in Buxton on Saturday September 20.

It will feature a drinks reception, three-course meal, live music from All or Nothing and Four to the Bar, a charity auction and a disco.

Colin Sykes, former BBC North West Tonight correspondent, will be auctioning off the prizes in aid of the Chapel-en-le-Frith hospice, which will include two paintings by Alan Bailey, winner of the coveted watercolour prize from the Derbyshire Open Exhibition 2006; a golf day at Breadsall Priory; and a 12-month membership for Chapel Leisure Centre.
