Buxton dad fined for possessing heroin

A Buxton dad has been fined for possessing heroin and cannabis.

Andrew Bradley admitted possessing the class A and class B drugs at High Peak Magistrates Court on Monday.

Police found 0.1 gram of diamorphine, worth £5, and 0.1 gram of cannabis, worth £1, on at the 35-year-old’s address at Ferneydale Avenue on May 23 last year.

Prosecutor Jennifer Fitzgerald said that he told police he was a user of amphetamines, heroin and cannabis, usually spending £10 on each of the drugs daily.

Kirsten Collings, defending, said her client, a dad-of-two, had not used drugs since the offence 12 months ago, had moved out of Fairfield and was training to become a plasterer.

Bradley was fined £110 and ordered to pay £85 court cost and a £20 victim surcharge.
