Bright and breezy day for Derbyshire
The Met Office is forecasting a bright and breezy day for Derbyshire and the East Midlands today, Thursday, January 8.
Overnight cloud and rain will quickly clear this morning to leave a mostly dry day with some sunshine and the odd shower in the west. It will be breezy with a maximum temperature of eight degrees centigrade.
Tonight will see a spell of rain cross all parts of the region during the evening, some heavy, which will clear in the early hours of Friday. It will be very windy, with gales possible in exposed parts of the area. The minimum temperature will be four degrees centigrade.
