Body found in Chesterfield canal
A body was found in a Chesterfield canal last night after it was found by a passer-by.
Derbyshire Police attended the scene at Works Road, Hollingwood, and removed the body from the canal.
Officers were alerted following a call from a member of the public at around 7.35pm.
They say that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident and next of kin have been informed.
Formal identification of the body will take place today (Tuesday, December 16).
