Ballet classicis updated
English Youth Ballet is presenting a dramatic production of Giselle set on an English country estate with an '˜upstairs downstairs' flavour.
A young girl is betrayed by Prince Albert who is also engaged to Lady Bathilde. This leads to a macabre, ghoulish scene dominated by young women jilted in love who rise from their graves at night and take revenge on any man who crosses their path.
Giselle is at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal on Friday and Saturday. Tickets £16-£24.
