Appeal after Peak District vehicle thefts

Police investigating the theft of two vehicles in Hathersage are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Between 8.30pm and 8.55pm on Wednesday, February 18, thieves stole a black and orange coloured KTM 125 motorbike from outside a property on Sunny Bank in Smalldale, Bradwell. (CR/7110/15)

A blue coloured Land Rover Defender was stolen by thieves as it was parked along The Nook in Stoney Middleton, Hope Valley.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 6pm on Saturday, February 14 and 12.20pm on Sunday, February 15. (CR/6599/15)

Officers are urging anyone with any information about the incidents, or the whereabouts of the vehicles, to contact them.

PCSO Anthony Boswell from the Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “I would urge residents to be on the look-out and to contact us if they see anyone acting suspiciously in the area or hanging around vehicles.

“By contacting us, can really help to make the difference between yours or your neighbour’s property from being targeted by thieves.”
