Air ambulance called to rescue injured Peaks climber
Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to Stanage Edge in the Peak District on Friday, May 27
Edale Mountain Rescue said: "We were called along with East Midlands Ambulance Service to Stanage Edge near Hathersage.

Hide Ad"Whilst climbing with a group from Sheffield University, the female took a fall of approx 5 metres, landing heavily at the base of the edge. She was treated for head injuries and possible pelvic injuries as well as being immobilised in a vacuum mattress.
She was then carried a short distance to where the Yorkshire Air Ambulance had managed to land for transfer to the Major Trauma Centre in Sheffield."
