It will become increasingly windy into the afternoon, with squally winds peaking as a band of occasionally heavy rain arrives late on.

It will become markedly colder into the evening as the rain clears eastwards.
The cold will be accentuated by the continuing strong wind, with isolated blustery showers possible.
