How you can still click and collect Christmas presents from Smyths Toys stores during the second national lockdown
A major toy retailer has pledged that customers will still be able to purchase and collect items from its stores during the second national lockdown in the run-up to Christmas.
Smyths Toys, which has branches in Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Mansfield, said it will also be offering home delivery during the four-week lockdown which will start on Thursday, November 5.
Under the new lockdown rules all non-essential retail has to close to shoppers, but Smyths Toys will still be trading with a same day click and collect service where people can pick up orders at the front of the store.
There will be social distance markers outside each branch to queue.
A spokesman from Smyths Toys said: “There may be short periods where these services are not available while large order volumes are processed.
“We have good levels of stock with more arriving every week to ensure we meet demand.
"We appreciate everyone who takes measures which are there to ensure the health and safety of all in our society.”
Stores will trade using click and collect from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Friday, and normal opening hours at weekends.
Outlets will hold the delivery for two days and customers can have someone else collect on their behalf.
On collection people will need the photo ID of the individual who placed the order and the ‘Ready for Collection’ email.
Smyths Toys home delivery service is also available on https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/.
Large bulky goods may take three to six working days for home delivery.
