RESTAURANT REVIEW: Town centre eatery Qoozies has a great vibe

Arriving at recently opened Chesterfield town centre healthy eatery Qoozies I was pleased with the welcome I received from the friendly staff.

Benefitting the environment is at the heart of the business’s motto and the majority of furniture has been upcycled.

This includes colourful tables, wooden chairs, huge comfy leather sofas and eye-catching ornaments which give a quirky alternative feel to the eatery.

Treating my mum to dinner we pored over the menu, impressed with the vast array of options.

With unusual smoothies and juices on offer I picked ‘The Refresher’, a smoothie consisting of strawberries, grapes and elderflower. My smoothie was bursting with flavour and definitely lived up to its name. My mum chose a latte which was accompanied by a small biscuit.

Since I chose a smoothie, I qualified for one of four meal deals, with a choice of panini, wrap or toastie, the regular size priced at £5 and the larger option costing just £5.50.

Oozing with cheese, my toasted wrap had just the right amount of chicken and peppers to satisfy my appetite, even if it looked slightly lonely on the plate without any crisps to accompany it.

My mum was full of praise for her small salad of tuna, mixed leaf, red onion and pesto, hardly breaking the bank at a mere £2.75.

Staff did not seem to falter under the pressure of the bistro being full, even with a demanding table of nine visiting that day. Quick service, a great vibe and atmosphere makes Qoozies at Chesterfield’s Market Hall stand out as somewhere special.

With close to four of the recommended five a day in all smoothies, healthy eaters and those just after something different should definitely visit Qoozies.
