Organisers are looking forward to the return of Kissin’ Kippers Fishin’ Club, festival newcomers such as The Itty Bitty Committee, homegrown acts including The Cassettes and bands from further afield like Pocketful O’Nowt.

The fun starts on Friday night with a pre-festival show at the Princess Victoria.

Experimental Sonic Machines, who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, will be performing on Friday. The act, pictured above, specialises in creating surreal soundscapes using home-made instruments and machines.

Singers and musicians also appearing at the Princess Victoria that night will include Matlock Bath Music Festival organisers 3:Second:Fuse, Sas & Bailey and Penny.

Festival spokesman Mike Richardson said: “We’re really proud of this year’s line-up, bands and acts we’ve played host to before as well as some fresh faces. For the first time we have official MBMF t-shirts on sale as well as Matlock Bath newsagents getting involved with unique, MBMF printed mugs.

This year the festival is working with Belper based Fleet Arts and continuing its partnerships with organisations such as Radio Free Smedley Street.
