Some areas are likelier to attract bigger price rises than others in 2021, as their streets become increasingly attractive and demand pushes up the value of houses.

Tideswell has 'seen good growth over recent years', says Tim Venn, ELR director and valuer. "It has, dare I say, a bit of a café culture scene - lots of eateries and delis. It's the second-biggest settlement in the Peak District, but is still a village. I think it will only get better in Tideswell." Photo: Anne Shelley

"It's so well-served for a village of its size," says Tim Venn of Tideswell, home to St John the Baptist Church, known as the 'Cathedral of the Peak'. "People do commute there from Manchester and to Sheffield. You've got the Wye Valley on your doorstep and places like Chee Dale and the Monsal Trail." Photo: Anne Shelley
. Grindleford
"It's a Hope Valley village, it's got the train line and it's very close to Sheffield," says Tim Venn, explaining Grindleford's appeal. Photo: Chris Lawton

The Hope Valley railway line linking Sheffield and Manchester keeps property values healthy in places on the route, Tim Venn says. "There aren't many places that tick the National Park box that are between two conurbations." Photo: James Hardisty
