The town of Bakewell has been named one of England’s best small towns to live in.
The settlement, famous for its Pudding, has been singled out in a list by UK property finder company Garrington, for its location within the Peak District National Park, but that it is “by no means a backwater”.
The list also features towns such as Stamford, Lincolnshire, for its many independent shops, and Altrincham, Cheshire, for its connectivity and outstanding schools.
