Eroica cycle festival gears up for return to Bakewell

Around 33,000 cycling enthusiasts will be rolling out as part of a fantastic international vintage cycling festival in Bakewell as the Eroica Britannia returns with three wonderful days of celebrations.

The event will boast a festival camp between June 19 and 21 with music, food, drink and acres of shopping and miles of riding as the annual event returns to the region for the second year.

The highlight will be the ride on Sunday, June 21, as around 3,000 riders will be gathering with retro bikes and costumes as they take on three possible routes across the Peak District.

And over 30,000 revellers travelling from across the world are expected to descend on the Peak District where there will be over 200 brilliant brands at the festival and the World’s biggest Bike Jumble.

The Hullabaloo will offer live music, bands, theatre and the best in-festival live entertainment as cycling’s version of Glastonbury.

Also available at the event’s British Bazaar will be opportunities to capture the vintage cycling look with a barber’s with wet-shaves, hair salon and make-up.

There will also be shops, heritage fashion and frame builders.

Other attractions include a food festival and sporting lawns for family activities.

Campers are also welcome at the event’s Home Fields.
