Volunteers needed for Buxton vaccination hub

Buxton’s first Covid-19 vaccination hub will begin its clinics on January 15 - with volunteers needed to help with traffic and parking.

Help is needed on Friday January 15, Saturday January 16 and Sunday January 17, say Connex Community Support.

Volunteers are required for shifts of up to three hours at the Buxton Medical Practice hub on Temple Road - with the first shift starting at 8am and the last shift finishing at 6.30pm.

High-visibility jackets will be provided but volunteers will need to wrap up warm and bring along a hot drink flask.

Those who come forward will work in socially-distanced teams of two and are encouraged to partner up with a friend.

Future dates for the clinics are yet to be confirmed.
